About this role
Dexterous Applied Training Institute (DATI)—a vocational, technical, and professional training institution providing industry certifications across the oil & gas, maritime, engineering, and manufacturing sectors—is recruiting an executive-level Business Development Manager for its corporate headquarters on Lagos Island, Lagos State.
This executive commercial leadership position reports directly to the Chief Training Officer, overseeing B2B sales strategy, C-suite account acquisition, oil & gas tender management (NipeX/NAPIMS), revenue pipeline modeling, and team supervision of Business Development Executives and Tendering Officers.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sales & Revenue Leadership: Formulate and execute multi-year B2B commercial acquisition strategies to meet annual corporate revenue goals and construct predictable revenue pipelines.

C-Suite Deal Closure & Partnerships: Lead high-level negotiations with corporate C-suite executives, securing long-term training mandates, institutional partnerships, and joint ventures in the oil & gas and engineering sectors.

Tendering & Tender Portal Oversight: Supervise Bid & Tender Officers on major RFQ/RFP submissions and regulatory portal registrations (e.g., NipeX, NAPIMS) to maintain margin targets and compliance.

Market Intelligence & Positioning: Conduct technical skill-gap analyses across industrial sectors, track competitor pricing dynamics, and direct DATI's corporate brand positioning.

Team Leadership & Performance Management: Direct, coach, and evaluate Business Development Executives and Tendering Officers while establishing departmental performance standards and SOPs.
Requirements & Qualifications

Academic Background: B.Sc. or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master’s Degree (MBA/M.Sc.) is an added advantage.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for financial modeling, revenue forecasting, and executive board presentations.

Core Competencies: B2B enterprise sales, NipeX/NAPIMS tendering management, revenue modeling, C-suite contract negotiation, joint venture structuring, and commercial team leadership.
