About this role
Shalina Healthcare—a major sub-Saharan African pharmaceutical manufacturer—is recruiting an Associate Manager - Quality Control for its facility in Odeda, Ogun State. This position leads chemical, microbiological, and instrumental laboratory operations while enforcing strict NAFDAC, WHO, GLP, and GMP compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Management & Testing: Direct analytical, microbiological, and instrumental testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods; approve Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and test reports.

Regulatory Compliance & Audits: Enforce compliance with NAFDAC, WHO, GLP, and GMP guidelines; lead internal audits and facilitate regulatory inspections.

Deviations & Investigations: Lead root-cause investigations for Out-of-Specification (OOS) and Out-of-Trend (OOT) test results; oversee equipment calibration schedules (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis) and stability study programs.

Team Supervision & Operations: Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); mentor lab personnel; maintain strict data integrity and manage chemical/reagent inventory.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience: 10–15 years of quality control experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing, including 3–5 years in a management capacity.

Technical Skills: Operational mastery of analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, UV Spectrophotometers), deep expertise in NAFDAC/WHO regulatory standards, and strong data integrity oversight.
