Senior Account Officer

Mowe Golf Town—a residential estate and hospitality enterprise located along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway corridor—is recruiting a Senior Account Officer (advertised as Senior Accountant in the application subject line) for its office in Mowe, Ogun State.

This senior finance role oversees daily financial accounting, budget tracking, payroll processing, tax compliance, internal audits, and financial reporting for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management & Accounting: Direct general ledger maintenance, revenue tracking, expense categorization, and financial record reconciliation.

• Financial Reporting & Auditing: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management accounts, and cash flow forecasts.

• Taxation & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely computation, filing, and remittance of statutory deductions (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, NSITF) in compliance with state and federal tax authorities.

• Payroll & Budgetary Control: Manage staff payroll administration, monitor operational budgets, analyze cost variances, and implement internal accounting controls.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Professional Credentials: Professional accounting certifications (ICAN/ACA or ACCA) or progress toward completion is preferred.

• Location Constraint: Must reside in or be willing to commute from Mowe, Arepo, Ibafo, or neighboring communities along the Ogun/Lagos border corridor.

• Core Competencies: Financial reporting, tax administration, budgetary control, proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, MS Excel), and leadership capability.
