About this role
Proten International—an international human resources and management consultancy—is recruiting a Human Resources Lead on behalf of its client, ACE Group (and its affiliated entities), based in Abuja (FCT). Reporting to senior executive leadership, this HR management role leads workforce planning, executive talent acquisition, performance management frameworks, labor law compliance, culture change management, and total rewards strategy across a multi-entity corporate footprint.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR & Workforce Planning: Advise board executives on organizational design, headcount planning, succession pipelines, HR risk management, and multi-entity workforce expansion.

Talent Acquisition & Lifecycle Management: Oversee end-to-end talent acquisition pipelines, executive search protocols, structured onboarding, and competency-based job descriptions.

Performance & Employee Relations: Administer annual performance review cycles, 360-degree talent reviews, grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).

Compliance & Labor Law Governance: Develop and audit corporate HR policies, employment contracts, and workplace handbooks to ensure compliance with Nigerian Labor Laws and regulatory frameworks.

HRIS Analytics & Total Rewards: Manage HRIS databases, track key HR analytics (turnover rate, time-to-hire), and design competitive compensation and benefits packages.

Academic Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline (Master’s Degree / MBA is an added advantage).

Professional Certifications (Strongly Preferred): Active professional HR credentials such as CIPM (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management), CIPD, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent.

Experience Baseline: 5+ years of generalist HR experience (2+ years in an HR Lead/Manager capacity); background in NGOs, donor-funded agencies, multinationals, or consulting firms is highly preferred.

Core Competencies: Nigerian Labor Law mastery, HRIS/HR analytics tools, conflict resolution, organizational culture development, and executive stakeholder management.
