About this role
Proten International—an international human resources and management consultancy—is recruiting a Senior Project Manager, Programmes & Delivery on behalf of its client based in Abuja (FCT). This senior leadership role oversees end-to-end execution, multi-stakeholder governance, budget monitoring, and risk management for complex public-private partnerships (PPPs) and donor-funded development initiatives, particularly across health, digital health, and telecom-adjacent sectors in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities

Programme Governance & Delivery: Lead project lifecycles from workplan design to delivery; establish governance frameworks, decision logs, escalation protocols, and risk mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder & Institutional Management: Coordinate inter-agency relationships across corporate partners, federal government agencies (e.g., NPHCDA, NCC, BHCPF), international donors, and field NGOs.

Financial & Resource Oversight: Track project budgets, analyze variance risks, optimize resource utilization, and manage contractual documentations (MOUs, concept notes, SLAs).

Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare progress reports for funders and executive boards, conduct field supervision visits, and capture lessons learned for institutional memory.

Academic Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Public Health, Business Administration, International Development, or a related discipline (Master's/Postgraduate degree preferred).

Professional Certifications (Desirable): Active credentials in PMP (PMI), PRINCE2, or PMD Pro.

Experience Baseline: 7–10 years managing complex multi-stakeholder programmes; familiarity with Nigeria's regulatory and public health framework (e.g., NPHCDA, BHCPF, NCC) is highly advantageous.

Software Mastery: Hands-on proficiency with project management platforms (MS Project, Asana, Trello, or Jira).
