Area Sales Manager

Dangote Group—Africa’s leading industrial conglomerate and premier manufacturer of cement and building materials—is recruiting an Area Sales Manager, Corporate for its Corporate Sales Division based in Lagos State.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Corporate Sales, this senior commercial leadership role drives bulk cement sales across defined regions, manages high-value B2B accounts (major construction firms, commercial developers, and government contractors), leads corporate sales teams, and executes strategic commercial growth across West Africa's building sector.

• B2B Revenue & Account Acquisition: Formulate and execute territorial sales strategies to secure bulk cement contracts for major infrastructure, commercial, and residential construction projects.

• Strategic Account Management: Direct relationships with procurement directors, civil engineering contractors, and project consultants to secure high-volume framework supply agreements.

• Team Leadership & Coaching: Manage, mentor, and evaluate Corporate Sales Representatives and Key Account Managers to drive performance metrics and field execution.

• Commercial & Credit Operations: Formulate regional pricing structures within corporate guidelines, evaluate credit risk profiles alongside finance, and negotiate high-margin contracts.

• Logistics & Supply Alignment: Interface with Dangote plant operations and dispatch teams to streamline supply chain logistics and fulfill client delivery schedules.

• Academic Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil/Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience Baseline: 7–12 years in B2B corporate sales, with at least 3–5 years in sales leadership within the building materials, cement, or heavy construction industries.

• Core Competencies: B2B project selling, key account management, contract negotiation, credit risk evaluation, demand forecasting, and team performance management.
