About this role
Lifemate Nigeria Limited—a furniture multinational corporation—is recruiting a Clearing & Forwarding Documentation Specialist to operate out of its head office in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos. This position manages end-to-end import/export documentation and digital cargo declarations via the Nigeria Customs Service's B’Odogwu platform (Unified Customs Management System) to facilitate smooth clearance for incoming furniture, raw materials, and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities

B’Odogwu Platform Control: Direct digital cargo declarations, document uploads, Single Goods Declaration (SGD) management, and platform compliance within the Nigeria Customs Service B’Odogwu portal.

Import Documentation Workflow: Execute end-to-end processing for Form M applications, PAAR (Pre-Arrival Assessment Report) generation, SONCAP certificates, NAFDAC permits, and customs valuation documents.

Clearing & Logistics Coordination: Interface with Authorized Dealer Banks (ADBs), shipping lines, terminal operators, and regulatory agencies to minimize port dwell time and avoid demurrage charges.

Compliance & Audit Management: Maintain updated records of shipping manifests, bill of ladings, duty assessment notices, and clearing documentation archives.

Core Software Competency: Direct working mastery of the B’Odogwu platform (NCS digital trade portal) for Form M, PAAR, and cargo declarations.

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Nigerian import/export guidelines, trade tariffs, shipping line clearance procedures, and regulatory documentation requirements (SON, NAFDAC, Customs).

Location Preference: Proximity to Oregun, Ikeja, or surrounding Lagos Mainland hubs for ease of daily commuting.
