About this role
Ruebits—a values-driven child development initiative focused on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), mentorship, and character building—is recruiting a remote Video Editor on a volunteer basis. Reporting to the Content & Communications Lead, this fully remote role edits short-form social reels, event highlight recap videos, storytelling interviews, and educational video series (Raise Them Right, Parenting Unfiltered) across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube channels.
Key Responsibilities

Short-Form Content & Series Editing: Edit engaging reels, campaign clips, and ongoing video series with consistent pacing, clear storytelling, and visual branding.

Event Recaps & Interview Storytelling: Transform raw footage from camps, outreach events, and testimonies into polished highlight reels and narrative pieces.

Sound Design & Motion Graphics: Add background music, subtitles/captions, sound effects, and simple motion graphics to boost social engagement.

Footage Archiving & Collaboration: Organize and archive raw media assets, working closely with copywriters and content leads from script to final cut.

Editing Toolstack: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut.

Editing Skills: Pacing, sound mixing, subtitle generation, basic motion graphics, color correction, and storytelling from unstructured raw clips.

Core Competencies: Creative video editing, remote collaboration, deadline management, footage archiving, and receptive to creative feedback.
