About this role
Lafiya Nigeria—a high-impact non-profit organization dedicated to expanding last-mile reproductive healthcare and contraceptive access across northern Nigeria—is recruiting a Strategy & Impact Analyst for a full-time, remote position. Operating within the Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) team, this quantitative generalist role builds cost-effectiveness and decision-support models (GiveWell-style framework). The analyst works closely with internal operational data, tracks unit costs (cost per client), models programmatic changes (such as hybrid training or postpartum integration), and translates research into evidence-based strategic guidance for leadership and international donors.
Key Responsibilities

Cost-Effectiveness & Unit-Cost Modeling: Build and maintain Lafiya’s core cost-effectiveness models; track cost per client and model the projected ROI/impact of programmatic changes.

Decision-Support Analysis: Deliver rapid, pragmatic decision models for urgent operational choices as well as rigorous analytical reports for long-term strategic expansion.

Evidence Synthesis: Synthesize adjacent global health/SRHR literature, evaluating how external research influences internal resource allocation and programmatic strategy.

External Engagement: Represent analytical methodologies in technical interactions with external evaluators, GiveWell-style impact assessors, and international donors.

Academic Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, or a related quantitative field.

Core Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in building and auditing financial/decision models using Excel or Google Sheets (Mandatory).

Demonstrated track record or understanding of GiveWell-style cost-effectiveness frameworks and decision-tree modeling.

English fluency with strong analytical writing skills for non-technical leadership (Mandatory).

Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of R or Python for advanced statistical analysis; familiarity with global health, family planning (SRHR), or EA-aligned impact evaluations.
