Role OverviewThe Cost / Schedule / Controls Engineer (Level 3) performs or coordinates cost estimate preparation, estimating oversight and quality assurance reviews for company-operated and Other Builder Operator estimates across all Gate and Funding milestones, and prepares Check Estimates and Schedules to compare with Operator-prepared submittals. The role also participates in estimate and schedule assessments and in Estimating Group process efficiency and QA review improvements.
Tasks and Responsibilities- Maintain change control, cost reports and related project documentation.
- Work with project estimators, planners, schedulers and the client's accounting staff.
- Coordinate and assemble monthly progress reports.
- Support the client's project manager and team leads on regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements.
- Perform cost estimate preparation, oversight and QA reviews for all Gate and Funding milestones.
- Prepare Check Estimates and Schedules for comparison with Operator-prepared submittals.
- Participate in verification of project cost and schedule bases.
- Contribute to Estimating Group process efficiency tools and QA review improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering within the discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in a closely related position.
- Advanced proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning and Project Controls.
- Ability to negotiate and broker successful solutions between internal coordination parties.
- Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical and computing skills.
- Adaptability to changing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to organize, plan, control, coordinate and manage cross-functional activities.
