About the Role
Uniterm Nigeria Limited is a premier indigenous oilfield services firm delivering quality, cost-effective technical solutions across Nigeria's energy sector. We are seeking an experienced Tax & Compliance Officer to manage our corporate tax schedules, regulatory reporting, and compliance frameworks. In this role, you will lead bi-annual NCDMB filings, execute SAP tax reconciliations, support tax audits, and oversee e-invoicing operations. The role is based in Lagos (onsite, full-time).
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit bi-annual statutory reports to the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB)
- Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor VAT and Withholding Tax (WHT) schedules against SAP financial records, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Coordinate the compilation of invoices, payment advice, and supporting financial documentation required for federal and state tax audits
- Track client VAT and WHT remittances, manage electronic invoicing processes, and follow up on outstanding payment schedules and documentation
- Support general tax compliance, reporting activities, and administrative tasks as assigned by finance management
Requirements
- Minimum of B.Sc. or HND degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years' core experience in corporate tax compliance, tax audit management, or regulatory reporting (oil and gas sector experience is an advantage)
- Hands-on proficiency with SAP ERP accounting software and e-invoicing platforms
- Deep working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, statutory filing schedules, WHT/VAT mechanics, and NCDMB regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical, cross-functional collaboration, and document-management skills
