Head, Supply and Material Planning

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals—a key subsidiary of Dangote Group—is recruiting a Head, Supply and Material Planning at its refinery complex in Lagos, Nigeria. This executive leadership role governs end-to-end supply and material planning strategies, oversees integrated S&OP/IBP cycles, manages material requirements planning (MRP/DDMRP), optimizes working capital and safety stock levels, and aligns procurement, logistics, and production operations across the downstream energy business.

• S&OP & Strategic Planning: Govern integrated S&OP/IBP cycles, align supply capacity with demand forecasts, define multi-year material planning strategies, and drive make-vs-buy decisions.

• MRP & Material Execution: Lead end-to-end MRP/DDMRP operations, manage Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy, establish safety stock parameters, and oversee master production scheduling to eliminate production bottlenecks.

• Inventory & Working Capital Optimization: Implement ABC/XYZ portfolio segmentation policies to reduce excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory, optimize turns, and free up working capital.

• Supplier & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement on lead-time reduction, vendor-managed inventory (VMI), consignment stock, and inbound logistics alignment.

• Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Coach and lead a high-performing supply planning team, establish KPIs, and champion Lean/Six Sigma practices across the supply chain function.

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s Degree (MBA / MSc Supply Chain) preferred.

• Professional Certifications: APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certifications preferred; additional certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or IBP are advantageous.

• Technical & Digital Skills: Extensive experience with enterprise ERP systems (SAP MM/PP, Oracle SCM) and advanced planning tools (Kinaxis RapidResponse, Blue Yonder, o9 Solutions); proficiency in Power BI/Tableau data analytics and cloud-based planning tools.
