Financial Controller

Hyde Energy is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting, financial control, budgeting and compliance while supporting business growth, profitability and sound financial decision-making

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations and preparation of accurate financial statements
- Lead budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow management and variance analysis
- Monitor revenue, costs, margins and working capital to drive profitability
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements
- Strengthen internal controls, financial risk management and governance processes
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings
- Oversee tax planning, statutory remittances and financial compliance obligations
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decisions
- Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting accuracy and cost efficiency
- Lead and develop the finance team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or an equivalent recognized accounting qualification
- 5-8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including experience in financial control or a senior finance role
- Relevant industry experience in FMCG or Oil and Gas is required
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, internal controls and regulatory compliance
- Experience in financial analysis, cost management, cash flow monitoring and performance reporting
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
