About this role

ARO is recruiting a proactive and solution-driven Experienced IT Consultant to join its team on a remote contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, solving real business problems, and building practical technology-based solutions. The candidate must be confident, curious, and able to demonstrate a portfolio of real projects and their measurable results.

Location: Lagos (Remote)
Employment Type: Contract (3 months, with possible extension)
Salary: ₦110,000 - ₦130,000 monthly (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Solutions: Work closely with internal teams and clients to understand their needs, deliver practical IT solutions, maintain regular engagement, and identify new business opportunities.
Web Development: Build and manage websites using WIX Studio, WordPress, and Lovable.
AI & Automation: Utilize AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Replit) to improve workflows and create automation processes using Make.com, Zapier, and similar platforms.
System Optimization: Test, improve, and implement systems that increase overall operational efficiency.
Project Support & Research: Support projects from start to finish while researching and suggesting better tools and ways of working.

Requirements

Education & Basics: Minimum of a 2:1 degree (Computer Science preferred but not compulsory), a working laptop, and the ability to provide professional references.
Portfolio & Experience: Must show a portfolio of built projects/products and demonstrate experience working on real-life projects or directly with clients.
Technical Skills: Good knowledge of WIX Studio and WordPress; familiarity with Lovable; hands-on experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and basic automation tools (Make.com, Zapier).
Core Competencies: Confident, organized, reliable, possessing strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative and work independently without heavy guidance.
