HR Business Partner

Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc—a premier, licensed national Primary Mortgage Bank in Nigeria—is recruiting a full-time HR Business Partner in Lagos. Operating within the financial services sector, this role is responsible for driving organizational growth by aligning corporate human capital strategies with business goals, managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle, and enforcing regulatory compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic HR & Architecture: Define and execute human resources and culture strategies, leading workforce planning, talent forecasting, and organizational design.

• Lifecycle Management: Direct the full employee lifecycle, covering talent acquisition, onboarding structures, career development pipelines, employee engagement, and offboarding workflows.

• Performance & Leadership: Run group-wide performance management systems, execute appraisal strategies, and drive leadership development programs.

• Change Management: Lead corporate restructuring, organizational change initiatives, and cultural transformation projects across business units.

• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all human resource policies, internal frameworks, and operational practices strictly adhere to Nigerian labor laws.

Requirements

Experience & Skills

• Tenure: 5 to 8 years of progressive experience operating in strategic HR positions.

• Sector Background: Proven track record within the financial services or banking sectors. Commercial banking experience is a strong asset.

• Core Competencies: Extensive expertise in change management, workforce forecasting, performance architecture, and modern HR best practices.

• Legal Foundations: Deep operational knowledge of contemporary Nigerian labor legislation.

Education & Certifications

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. An advanced degree or professional HR certification is preferred.
