About this role
Benin Asaba Expressway Concession Company, the holding company for the federal government highway concession project managed by Africa Plus Partners to construct, maintain, and manage the Benin-Asaba Expressway, is recruiting a CAD Engineer to join its engineering team in Benin City, Edo State. The engineer will translate structural concepts and calculations into detailed, accurate infrastructure construction drawings and maintain documentation standards for extensive highway and bridge-related works.
Key Responsibilities-
Drafting & Modeling: Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for complex bridge structures, including decks, piers, abutments, bearings, and foundations in line with approved design specifications.

Design Translation: Translate structural engineers’ calculations and design concepts accurately into technical construction drawings and shop drawings.

Standardization: Develop and maintain structural drawing standards, organized layering systems, and rigorous file management protocols.

Engineering Collaboration: Coordinate closely with bridge, geotechnical, and highway engineers to ensure cross-functional design integration and on-site constructability.

Revisions & Site Support: Update and revise bridge drawings to reflect dynamic design changes, site conditions, and approved variations; provide timely clarifications and detailed sections to construction teams.

Education: Degree/HND in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline with specialized CAD certification.

Experience: Proven professional experience as a CAD Draftsman/Engineer within large-scale civil infrastructure, road, or bridge construction projects.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or specialized bridge modeling tools). Thorough understanding of structural elements and engineering calculations.

Core Competencies: Meticulous attention to detail, strong collaborative skills, ability to interpret international bridge design codes, and familiarity with Nigerian engineering standards.
