Senior Manager, Financial Reporting

Flutterwave, Africa's leading payment technology company, is recruiting a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Financial Reporting. Based in Lekki, Lagos, this role is designed for a technical accounting powerhouse who will oversee multi-country financial consolidations, maintain robust internal controls on NetSuite, manage relations with global regulators, and optimize financial close cycles.

• Consolidation & IFRS Reporting: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting cycles for parent and global subsidiaries; prepare IFRS-compliant consolidated financial statements.

• Regulatory & Audit Coordination: Lead interim and annual group audits; manage timelines and responses for external auditors. Act as the key contact for submissions to regulatory bodies like CBN, SEC, FRCN, Bank of Ghana, and FSCA.

• Accounting Policy Implementation: Enforce Group Accounting Policies; spearhead technical transitions and compliance frameworks for complex accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 9, 15, 16, 17, 18).

• ERP & Automation: Supervise financial data integrity on NetSuite; drive reporting efficiency and control automation in collaboration with the IT, Treasury, Tax, and FP&A teams.

• Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Mentor financial reporting teams across multiple jurisdictions; assist the CFO with board presentations, investor reporting, and fund-raising due diligence.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field.

• Professional License: ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualification is mandatory.

• Experience: 10–12 years of progressive financial reporting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.

• Sector Background: Prior experience in Payments, Fintech, Banking, or Financial Services. Big 4 audit firm experience is highly advantageous.

• Tools Mastery: In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and analytical/BI reporting suites (Excel, Power BI).

• Competencies: Mastery of IFRS guidelines, experience managing multi-currency translations, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
