About this role
WEAFRI Well Services Company Limited, an indigenous well services firm operating across onshore, offshore, and deepwater projects in West Africa, is recruiting a Coiled Tubing (CT) Operator. Based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, this role will drive well intervention operations, maintain equipment, enforce safety procedures, and execute CT operations across client field sites.
Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Rig up/down coiled tubing equipment, operate CT auxiliary units, execute pre-job equipment checks, and perform routine preventive maintenance.

Well Intervention Execution: Perform pressure testing, oversee downhole hydraulics during pumping, and participate in operations including matrix acidizing, milling, and fishing.

HSE & Site Safety: Lead toolbox talks, conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA), raise Permit-to-Work (PTW) documentation, and strictly adhere to well control and safety protocols.

Operations Reporting: Record execution data for job logs, complete checklist sheets, and ensure seamless shift handovers across operational teams.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Engineering or Physical Sciences.

Professional Credentials: Well Control Certification (IWCF Level 4) is required.

Field Experience: 4 to 6 years of progressive coiled tubing operations experience within the oil and gas service sector.

Technical Competencies: Sound knowledge of coiled tubing hydraulics, downhole tools, hydrostatic pressure testing, and field maintenance procedures.

Proven capability in rigging up, assembling, pressure-testing, and running CT units safely under pressure.

Strong safety leadership, JSA facilitation, and adherence to international engineering codes.
