About this role
Edgegate Homes—a real estate development firm—is recruiting a Finance Officer for its office in Igbo-efon, Lagos State. This full-time financial management role is aimed at early-career accounting professionals to manage client payment schedules, bank reconciliations, statutory tax remittances, payroll processing, and financial reporting for real estate transactions along the Lekki-Ajah corridor.

Location: Igbo-efon, Lagos State (Applicants must reside within the Lekki-Ajah axis)

Age Bracket: 22 – 26 years old

Client Financial Management: Prepare client payment schedules, issue official receipts, monitor installment plans, and follow up on outstanding real estate purchase receivables.

Accounting & Reconciliations: Prepare monthly account statements, update financial databases, perform bank reconciliations, and assist with annual budgeting/audit exercises.

Payroll & Statutory Taxes: Process monthly staff payroll and ensure prompt remittance of statutory deductions (PAYE, Withholding Tax, and Pensions) to relevant tax authorities.

Software & Records Management: Maintain accurate ledger entries in accounting software and ensure compliance with financial standards and real estate regulations.

Education: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division (2:1) OR Higher National Diploma (HND) with Upper Credit in Accounting.

NYSC Status: Must have successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Experience & Age: 1 – 2 years of relevant accounting experience; must be between 22 and 26 years old.

Location Constraint: Must reside within the Lekki-Ajah axis.

Technical Skills: Hands-on knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, Sage, QuickBooks) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
