General Manager

WatchGuard Safety Limited—a private security and safety services firm providing corporate, commercial, and residential security solutions—is recruiting a General Manager to lead its operations in Lagos Mainland. This senior executive position provides overall operational leadership, strategic business development, guard force deployment and welfare management, contract administration, and financial oversight across the organization.

• Executive Leadership & Strategy: Provide overall direction for day-to-day operations, establish operational KPIs, and execute business expansion, revenue growth, and profitability strategies.

• Security Operations & Deployment: Oversee the recruitment, guard deployment, attendance tracking, site inspections, incident response, discipline, training, and overall welfare of security personnel.

• Business Development & Client Relations: Drive sales initiatives and client acquisition, nurture existing corporate relationships, monitor contract performance, and oversee contract renewals.

• Financial & Risk Management: Oversee budgeting, cost control, revenue collection, and operational expenditure; identify operational risks and establish mitigation measures.

• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure full compliance with Nigerian private security regulations, implement internal controls, and present regular performance reports to executive stakeholders.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Security Management, Criminology, Law, or a related discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 4 to 7 years of management experience, with strong preference for candidates who have managed private security companies, guard operations, or facilities management firms in Nigeria.

• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of private security operations, guard force management, and Nigerian regulatory requirements for security firms.

• Core Competencies: Business development, team leadership, contract negotiation, conflict resolution, high integrity, and strategic communication skills.
