Head, Cybersecurity

ActiveEdge Technologies—a technology solutions provider specializing in business productivity and digital transformation—is recruiting a Head, Cybersecurity for its office in Lekki, Lagos. This deeply technical executive position combines enterprise security architecture, hands-on threat defense, technical presales, commercial strategy, and team leadership to secure client infrastructure and drive cybersecurity revenue growth.

• Security Strategy & Architecture: Design, architect, and deploy end-to-end security frameworks across enterprise software, networks, data centers, and cloud environments aligned with ISO 27001 and PCI DSS standards.

• Presales & Solution Engineering: Lead complex presales engagements, RFPs, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), solution design, and technical workshops to convert client requirements into scalable security offerings.

• Threat Mitigation & Incident Response: Conduct security audits, threat hunting, log analysis, vulnerability assessments, and deployment of SIEM (QRadar, Splunk, ArcSight), Palo Alto firewalls, IAM, NAC, and EDR solutions.

• Commercial & Revenue Ownership: Own revenue targets for the cybersecurity business unit, manage deal profitability, maintain pipeline visibility, and partner with OEM vendors for joint market engagements.

• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of security engineers and presales specialists, ensuring continuous skill development and succession planning.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.

• Certifications (Required/Preferred): Advanced cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CASP+, GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, or SIEM-specific certifications (e.g., QRadar/Splunk).

• Experience: 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in IT and cybersecurity, including at least 5 to 7 years in a technical leadership capacity and 5+ years of hands-on security implementation.

• Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in SIEM platforms (QRadar/Splunk), network security (Palo Alto firewalls, IDS/IPS), TCP/IP protocols, defense-in-depth architecture, packet capture, forensic analysis, and cloud/virtualization security.

• Core Competencies: Adversarial mindset, technical presales expertise, financial deal analysis, client relationship management, and strong executive communication skills.
