Senior SOC Analyst

GV Alliance Partners—a business advisory and technology consulting firm—is recruiting a Senior SOC Analyst on behalf of a client in Lagos State. This full-time cybersecurity role focuses on tuning and optimizing SIEM solutions, conducting continuous threat detection across on-premise and cloud infrastructure, leading incident response and digital forensics, managing EDR/endpoint defenses, and producing executive security intelligence dashboards.

• SIEM & Infrastructure Defense: Custom-tune SIEM platforms (e.g., ArcSight) to organizational architecture; monitor Identity and Access Management (IAM), endpoints, network defenses (HIPS/NIPS), and cloud/on-premise environments.

• Incident Detection & Forensics: Lead vulnerability/threat identification, patch management coordination, incident triage and response, and digital forensic investigations.

• Threat Intelligence & Remediation: Monitor global threat intelligence feeds; collaborate with applications and infrastructure teams to remediate identified security risks.

• Metrics & Executive Reporting: Develop executive dashboards showing actionable security posture metrics, threat insights, and operational KPIs.

• Framework Alignment: Enforce security best practices across IT units in alignment with NIST, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001 regulatory frameworks.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 5 years operating specifically as a SOC Analyst.

• Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CASP+, CEH, GCIH, GCIA, or OSCP.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Operating systems: Windows, Unix, Linux.

  • Security Tooling: SIEM (ArcSight), EDR (CrowdStrike Falcon), Packet Analyzers, HIPS/NIPS, Web Security Gateways, and ServiceNow Ticketing.

• Core Competencies: Clear technical and executive communication, incident response coordination, and familiarity with NIST, PCI, and ISO 27001 standards.
