Site Electrical and Automation Manager

Unilever Nigeria Plc—a global FMCG leader—is recruiting a Site Electrical and Automation Manager for its manufacturing operations in Agbara, Odeda, Ogun State. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this senior technical leadership role oversees the end-to-end design, maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement of high-voltage/low-voltage (HT/LT) power distribution networks, PLC/SCADA/DCS control systems, and industrial instrumentation across the plant.

• Electrical Infrastructure & Power Systems: Oversee HT/LT electrical distribution systems, transformer substations, power reliability, energy efficiency initiatives, and liaison with public electricity utilities.

• Automation & Instrumentation Control: Lead PLCs (Siemens/Rockwell), SCADA, DCS, and field instrumentation to optimize equipment reliability, eliminate breakdown stoppages, and drive factory automation upgrades.

• Electrical Safety & Audits: Drive site-wide electrical safety audits, gap identification, risk mitigation protocols, and compliance with Unilever safety/environmental standards for staff and contractors.

• Capital Projects & Asset Management: Budget, evaluate, and execute capital expenditure (CapEx) projects for infrastructure capacity enhancements, equipment modernization, and energy-saving technologies.

• Maintenance & Skill Development: Execute preventive, autonomous, and condition-based maintenance; perform technician skill-gap analyses and conduct technical training programs.

• Education: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.

• Technical Certifications: Professional certification in industrial automation, specifically working with Siemens or Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) control systems.

• Domain Experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience managing HT/LT power distribution networks, switchgear, electrical safety compliance, and industrial automation within a heavy manufacturing/FMCG environment.
