About this role
Colton Group—a diversified manufacturing, mining, construction, and construction chemicals conglomerate—is recruiting a Factory Human Resources Officer (HR Business Partner) for its manufacturing facility in Sagamu, Ogun State. This factory-floor leadership position focuses on partnering with plant management to drive workforce productivity, manage employee/industrial relations for technical and blue-collar teams, oversee factory recruitment, administer attendance/payroll inputs, and ensure labor law compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Plant HR & Workforce Planning: Partner directly with the Factory Manager to oversee manpower planning, shift allocations, overtime tracking, attendance management, and talent retention.

Employee Relations & Discipline: Handle industrial relations, manage workplace grievances, resolve union/labor conflicts, and manage disciplinary procedures for production, warehouse, and technical personnel.

Recruitment & Talent Management: Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, staff confirmation, transfers, performance appraisals, and exit procedures.

Payroll & Benefits Support: Compile precise monthly payroll inputs, manage factory staff leave schedules, and coordinate medical/workplace benefit schemes.

Training & Compliance: Identify technical skill gaps on the factory floor, coordinate safety/technical training, and enforce statutory Nigerian labor law compliance.
Requirements & Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Professional Certification (Required): Full professional membership/certification from CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI.

Experience: 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience, with substantial time spent in an HRBP or HR Officer role directly supporting a manufacturing plant / factory workforce (blue-collar, technical, and supervisory teams).

Core Skills: Knowledge of Nigerian labor legislation, conflict resolution, payroll processing inputs, HR metrics analysis, and plant-floor stakeholder management.
