About this role
Primero Transport Services Limited—the operator of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) scheme across Lagos State—is recruiting a Monitoring Officer for its transit corridors and terminal operations in Lagos State. This field-enforcement and compliance role focuses on corridor surveillance, driver behavior monitoring, terminal staff audit, passenger fare-evasion prevention, accident reporting, and discreet operational update generation.
Key Responsibilities-
Driver & Operational Compliance: Monitor BRT drivers on dedicated corridors for speed compliance, lane docking adherence, alcohol intake (using breathalyzers), uniform policy, and safety rule enforcement.

Terminal & Corridor Surveillance: Verify terminal staff attendance and ID compliance at resumption/closing shifts, prevent impersonation, and support shelter operational staff.

Revenue Protection & Anti-Fraud: Prevent passenger fare evasion, unauthorized free rides, overriding beyond paid zones, and fraudulent collusion between commuters and staff.

Incidents & Fleet Auditing: File prompt reports on traffic accidents, track daily scheduled versus rolled-out and maintenance-queued buses, and escalate operational breaches directly to the Ticketing & Monitoring Superintendent.

Education & Experience: B.Sc. or HND with 2 to 4 years of field compliance, monitoring, or logistics safety experience.

Field Aptitude: High observation skills, discrete operational update gathering, sound judgment, and physical resilience to work on active BRT corridors.

Regulatory Acumen: Strong familiarity with Lagos State traffic regulations, fleet safety standards, and incident response protocols under high-pressure scenarios.
