Maintenance Officer
About this role
Blu Atlantic Hotel—a 44-room luxury hotel located in Lekki, Lagos State, equipped with modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art facilities—is recruiting a Maintenance Officer for its full-time facility maintenance team. This technical support role is responsible for executing routine repairs, maintaining utility infrastructure, conducting preventive maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and ensuring continuous facility safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Systems Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct preventive maintenance and basic repairs across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems; replace fixtures, repair doors, and perform general painting or touch-ups.
- Safety & Inspection Oversight: Regularly inspect building equipment, monitor fire alarms, emergency lighting, and security systems to guarantee operational safety and compliance.
- Operations Support: Respond rapidly to internal maintenance work orders, track repair logs, maintain tools/supplies, and assist with groundskeeping and waste management tasks.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Academic Background: SSCE, OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related field.
- Work Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance, electro-mechanical troubleshooting, or facility repairs (hospitality experience preferred).
- Technical Competencies: Practical working knowledge of HVAC, basic electrical wiring, plumbing systems, safety protocols, and proper tool handling.
