Bar Manager

Sheraton Lagos Hotel—a premium hospitality brand under Marriott International—is recruiting a Bar Manager for its food and beverage operations in Ikeja, Lagos State. This hospitality management role oversees daily bar/lounge shift operations, manages beverage inventories and pour cost controls, ensures strict compliance with liquor licensing laws, and leads service teams to maintain guest satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Bar & Inventory Governance: Execute beverage policy guidelines, manage perpetual inventory and bar par levels, analyze beverage cost ratios, and enforce local liquor compliance laws.

• Shift Supervision & Floor Leadership: Oversee shift execution, assist service staff during peak volume periods, and maintain food handling, health, and sanitation standards.

• Financial & Cost Control: Monitor controllable departmental expenses, review payroll metrics, and participate in menu development and promotional planning to achieve budgeted revenue targets.

• Guest Service & Staff Development: Conduct onboarding orientations, track customer feedback/comment cards, resolve guest complaints, and implement staff training plans.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Academic Background: Degree, Diploma, or certification in Hospitality Management, Hotel & Restaurant Operations, Food Service Management, or related majors.

• Work Experience: 2 to 4 years of direct supervisory or operational leadership experience within upscale bars, lounges, or hotel food & beverage outlets.

• Core Competencies: Inventory cost control (beverage potentials, days-on-hand), menu engineering, staff scheduling, regulatory compliance, and guest relationship management.
