Experienced Accountant

Toslad Group—the technology-driven real estate, property management, and debt/rent recovery firm—is recruiting an Experienced Accountant (Real Estate) for its headquarters in Gwagwalada, Abuja (FCT).

Reporting to the Managing Director and Board, this financial position oversees multi-property financial operations, project costing for land/building developments, rent/service charge reconciliations, tax compliance (VAT, WHT, CIT), and bank reconciliations.

• Location: Plot 686, District Opp. Gwagwalada, Park Area 1, Abuja (FCT)

Key Responsibilities

• Real Estate Financial Accounting: Maintain corporate financial records, manage accounts payable/receivable, and compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Property & Project Cost Tracking: Monitor construction/development project budgets, calculate unit profitability, track service charge allocations, and reconcile rent collection ledgers.

• Taxation & Statutory Audits: Compute and execute timely tax filings (VAT, WHT, Company Income Tax) to FIRS/IRS and prepare audit schedules for internal and external auditors.

• Treasury & Cash Flow: Conduct bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow movements, oversee client escrow accounts, and advise leadership on cost control strategies.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Professional Certifications: ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN professional accounting qualifications are an added advantage.

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting ERP tools (QuickBooks, Sage), property costing methods, and Nigerian tax law.

• Core Competencies: Real estate cost accounting, rent ledger auditing, tax filing, treasury reconciliation, and holding a valid driver's license (an added advantage).
