About this role
Mshel Homes Limited—a Nigerian real estate development and construction firm—is recruiting a Chief Project Manager to direct its executive Project Management Office (PMO) and oversee all multi-site construction and infrastructure operations from its headquarters in Abuja (FCT). Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and the GMD/CEO, this executive leadership position takes complete oversight of contract administration, multi-million Naira portfolio budgets, value engineering, contractor management, and site delivery across the group's real estate projects.
Key Responsibilities

Group PMO & Strategic Governance: Direct the Group's Project Management Office; formulate project execution frameworks, quality controls, and risk governance models aligned with board goals.

Portfolio Lifecycle Management: Oversee end-to-end delivery of construction projects from pre-feasibility, site mobilization, structural execution, and MEP installations to final handover and commissioning.

Commercial & Financial Control: Manage multi-billion portfolio budgets, control project cost forecasting, execute value engineering initiatives, and authorize expenditures within delegated executive limits.

Contract Administration & Procurement: Direct general contractor and subcontractor agreements, manage FIDIC/NEC contract variations, resolve vendor claims, and oversee structural supply chain logistics.

Regulatory & HSE Compliance: Serve as executive liaison to government agencies, town planning authorities, and external engineering consultants; enforce strict site HSE standards and building code compliance across all active developments.

Academic Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field (Master's Degree strongly preferred).

Mandatory Professional Certifications: Certified Chartered Project Manager holding valid PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent credential. COREN registration, NSE membership (Member or Fellow), RICS, or FIDIC Contract Management certification are highly advantageous.

Experience Baseline: 15+ years in civil/structural project delivery with 10+ years managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and multi-site project P&Ls.

Technical Software Literacy: Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, BIM methodologies, and CAFM/EAM enterprise management systems.
