General Manager

Viabonam Corporate Services—a corporate advisory, business entry, and management consulting firm—is recruiting a General Manager on behalf of its client, Paramount Furniture, in Abuja (FCT). This executive position carries complete Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability for Paramount Furniture, overseeing factory production, raw materials, quality control, team administration, and multi-channel commercial sales across retail, B2B contract, hospitality, and developer streams.

• Factory & Operations Management: Direct daily plant operations, raw material procurement, production line scheduling, equipment maintenance, and delivery timelines to ensure maximum plant throughput.

• Quality Assurance & Standards: Implement rigid Quality Control (QC) frameworks from timber/material entry to finishing and pre-dispatch inspection; investigate defect root causes and mandate corrective actions.

• Multi-Channel Commercial Growth: Drive sales execution across retail showrooms, B2B corporate office furnishing contracts, hospitality projects, and real estate developer developments.

• Full P&L & Financial Oversight: Control unit operating budgets, monitor defect-to-cost ratios, set revenue targets, negotiate bulk supplier/client contracts, and report directly to the Managing Director.

• Team Leadership & Governance: Recruit, structure, and manage plant supervisors, carpenters/craftsmen, quality control inspectors, sales executives, and administrative staff.

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Production Engineering, Business Administration, Wood Technology, or a related discipline.

• Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience, with proven senior management experience overseeing both factory operations and commercial sales in the furniture manufacturing or interior fit-out sector.

• Regional Market Insight: Strong practical understanding of the Abuja and broader Northern Nigerian furniture, interior design, real estate, and B2B corporate markets.

• Core Competencies: P&L ownership, factory operations management, quality assurance protocols, B2B sales leadership, supplier negotiations, and team management.
