IT Application Specialist (Web)

Dangote Industries Limited—Africa's largest industrial conglomerate—is recruiting an IT Application Specialist (Web) for its central Information Technology arm (DANCOM) at the Corporate Head Office in Lagos State. Reporting to the Lead Enterprise Architect and IT Support Manager, this full-time engineering and support role is responsible for 2nd-level enterprise web application support, C# / NET / PHP software development, database optimization (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL), Power Platform workflows, and system integration across Dangote Group's operating subsidiaries.

• 2nd-Level Application Support & SLA Resolution: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex web application incidents, perform root cause analysis, and execute permanent bug fixes within defined SLA timeframes.

• Full-Stack Development & API Integration: Build, customize, and maintain web applications and RESTful microservices using C# (NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework) and the PHP + MySQL stack.

• Database Management & Query Optimization: Design, administer, and tune MS SQL Server (mandatory), MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases; optimize complex SQL stored procedures and ensure data integrity.

• Enterprise Platform Engineering: Support and develop enterprise workflow automation tools using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and SharePoint.

• Testing, Version Control & MLOps/DevOps Integration: Execute unit, integration, and load testing; maintain code repositories via Git; and author technical documentation and system architecture specifications.

• Academic Credentials: B.Sc./HND in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering + 3–7 years of enterprise software engineering experience.

• Software Development & Database Toolstack:

  • Core Development: C#, ASPNET MVC, Entity Framework, REST APIs, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS.

  • Databases: MS SQL Server (expert level required), MySQL, PostgreSQL.

  • Enterprise Tools & Version Control: Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Development, Git.

  • Testing & Methodology: Unit testing, TDD/BDD, ITIL service management.
