About this role
Auldon Limited—a leading wholesale toy trading and distribution company famously known for pioneering the African-themed Unity Girls Dolls—is recruiting an Assistant Accountant for its commercial operations in Idumota, Lagos Island. This accounting position supports daily financial operations, ledger management, bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable processing, and month-end/year-end closing procedures within a high-volume trading environment.
Key Responsibilities

Financial Ledger & Bookkeeping: Record daily financial transactions, maintain general ledger entries, and manage accounts payable and receivable.

Reconciliation & Reporting: Reconcile bank statements, process sales ledgers, and assist senior accountants with basic financial reports and month-end/year-end closing tasks.

Audit & Compliance Support: Maintain accurate physical and digital financial documentation to support internal controls and external audit reviews.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate with sales, storekeeping, and management teams to ensure timely financial reporting and invoice processing.
Requirements & Qualifications

Academic Background: Degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ongoing or completed professional certification like ICAN/ACCA is an added advantage).

Work Experience: 3–4 years of cognate accounting experience in retail, wholesale, or FMCG environments.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, pivot tables, formulas) and standard accounting software.

Core Competencies: Numerical accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, general ledger management, and attention to detail.
