About this role
Pathway Advisors Limited—a boutique investment banking and financial advisory firm—is recruiting a Fund Accountant for its office in Lekki, Lagos State. This financial accounting role is responsible for asset valuation, Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, portfolio transaction accounting, fund reconciliations, and financial reporting across the firm's managed investment funds, private equity portfolios, and institutional client accounts.
Key Responsibilities

NAV Calculation & Valuation: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and asset valuations for managed investment funds and client portfolios.

Portfolio & Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile fund cash balances, security positions, custody statements, and transaction records against bank and custodian accounts.

Financial Reporting & Auditing: Prepare quarterly and annual fund financial statements, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards.

Fee Calculation & Distribution: Calculate management fees, performance fees, dividend distributions, and investor capital transactions in accordance with fund offering documents.

Academic Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. / HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Professional Certifications (Preferred): ACA (ICAN), ACCA, CFA, or progress toward professional accounting certification is an added advantage.

Core Competencies: Fund accounting software, NAV calculation methodologies, portfolio reconciliation, IFRS compliance, financial modeling, and MS Excel proficiency.
