About this role
Hope Payment Service Bank (Hope PSBank)—a licensed Payment Service Bank in Nigeria—is recruiting a Compliance Officer for its risk and regulatory governance division. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, this role oversees Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), Countering Proliferation Financing (CPF), Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) reporting, Customer Due Diligence (CDD/EDD), and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) screening.
Key Responsibilities

AML/CFT/CPF Policy & Risk Assessment: Develop and review AML/CFT/CPF compliance frameworks; conduct bank-wide ML/TF/PF risk assessments and present reports to Senior Management and the Board.

NFIU Reporting & Suspicious Transaction Analysis: Monitor, investigate, and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) to the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).

CDD, EDD & Sanctions Screening: Implement Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk clients, PEP screening, and Targeted Financial Sanctions checks.

Audit Support & Compliance Rulebook: Maintain a regulatory compliance rulebook, track regulatory updates, lead AML staff training, and manage the compliance exception tracker during CBN/external audits.

Career Experience: 2–3 years in AML compliance, internal audit, risk management, or regulatory reporting within commercial/payment banks, microfinance banks, or FinTechs.

Regulatory Toolstack & Frameworks: Strong working knowledge of NFIU reporting portals, CBN AML/CFT guidelines, sanctions databases, and KYC verification protocols.

Core Competencies: Transaction monitoring, forensic analysis, regulatory reporting, policy drafting, PEP screening, and risk assessment.
