About this role
Collection Development Limited (CDL)—a real estate development and asset management firm—is recruiting a Resident Manager to oversee property operations and resident welfare at its facility in Lagos State. Serving in a dual capacity as Resident Manager and Warden for a male student hostel accommodation, this full-time role focuses on facility maintenance, health and safety compliance, student welfare, vendor supervision, tenancy documentation, and maintaining order and decorum across the residency.
Key Responsibilities

Hostel Operations & Resident Welfare: Oversee daily operations, health, safety, hygiene, and general welfare within the male student residency; resolve complaints, handle disciplinary issues, and manage medical emergencies.

Property & Facility Management: Inspect electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems; manage furniture and fittings, schedule upgrades, and coordinate preventive maintenance.

Administrative & Tenancy Duties: Process tenancy agreements, maintain resident documentation, conduct routine room/facility inspections, track operational budgets, and submit periodic reports to executive management.

Vendor & Staff Supervision: Supervise site personnel, cleaners, security guards, and third-party contractors to ensure strict adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs) and safety protocols.

Community Building & Compliance: Maintain a balanced approach between enforcing residential rules and fostering a supportive, approachable environment for residents.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Estate Management, Facility Management, Property Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally managing student hostels, residential estates, university halls, or hospitality properties.

Technical & Administrative Skills: Strong grounding in facility maintenance, health and safety regulations, vendor management, basic financial budgeting, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
