Elizabeth Maddeux Limited is recruiting a Senior Accountant for a client in the oil and gas sector (upstream and oil and gas servicing). The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, cash flow, tax compliance, payroll and internal controls

• Salary: NGN 600,000 - 800,000 monthly

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial statements and other financial reports
• Monitor supplier payments, manage customer invoices, track receivables and ensure timely settlement of financial obligations
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records
• Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts and support effective financial planning
• Assist with budget preparation, monitor expenditure and investigate cost variances
• Ensure accurate computation, filing and remittance of applicable taxes in line with statutory requirements
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate payment of employee salaries and related statutory deductions
• Maintain effective internal controls, identify financial risks and ensure compliance with company policies
• Coordinate closing activities and ensure financial records are complete and accurate
• Monitor project-related costs, operational expenses and financial transactions associated with oil and gas operations and servicing activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience in the oil and gas upstream sector or oil and gas servicing industry
• EPCI project experience is an added advantage
• ICAN or ACA certification is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax compliance and financial controls
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
